First project: a scarf for a doll

I started this project because I had these little balls of wool as and empty pledge. I also thought that this could be an easy first project for this blog. First I gathered everything I needed: scissors, knitting needles, a needle and one or two balls of wool.

Next I had to try to remember how to knit. At first it was a little bit weird because I had knitted last time about two or three years ago. Anyway I did the amount of stitches I wanted to (depends on how wide you want the scarf to be). And then I started the knitting process: two knit stitches and then two purl stitches. I stopped when I thought the scarf was long enough for my doll. I had several issues with ending this scarf. At first I did not remember how to end it correctly and I did it the wrong way. 😄 Then I had to ask my mom for help. Finally with her help I finished the scarf.

After knitting was done I decided to do fringes for the scarf. I cut pieces of yarn and threaded them using the needle in the ends of the scarf. I tied the snippets of yarn so they wouldn’t come off. I added a few darker pink snippets of yarn so the scarf wouldn't turn out boring. The final step was to cut the fringes a little bit.

And here is the scarf! It turned out pretty good. I am a bit shocked that I even finished it. 😀 Please comment below what you think and you can also comment some tips or future craft ideas for me!

Eka projekti: kaulaliina nukelle

Aloitin projektin, koska minulla oli pieniä lankakeriä tyhjänpanttina. Ajattelin myös, että tämä olisi sopivan helppo ensimmäinen projekti blogia varten. Ensin keräsin kaiken tarvittavan: sakset, neulepuikot, neulan ja yhen tai kaksi lankakerää.

Seuraavaksi yritin muistaa, kuinka neulotaan. Ensin neulominen tuntui oudolta, koska olin neulonut viimeksi noin kaksi tai kolme vuotta sitten. Tein sopivan määrän silmukoita itselleni (silmukoiden määrä riippuu siitä, kuinka leveän huivista haluaa). Silmukoiden lumisen jälkeen aloitin itse neulomisprosessin: kaksi oikeaa silmukkaa ja sitten kaksi nurjaa. Tätä jatketaan niin kauan, kun huivi on tarpeeksi pitkä nukelle. Minulla oli paljon ongelmia huivin lopetuksen kanssa. Ensin yritin itse muistella, miten neulominen pitää lopettaa ja teinkin sen väärin.😄 Lopulta luovutin ja kysyin äidiltäni apua ja sain kuin sainkin huivin neulottua.

Kun neulominen oli hoidettu pois alta, päätin tehdä kaulaliinaan hapsut. Leikkasin palasia langasta ja pujotin ne kaulahuivin päihin neulalla. Solmin hapsut jotteivat ne lähtisi irtoamaan. Lisäsin myös hieman tummemman pinkkejä langanpätkiä, jottei huivista tulisi niin tylsä (en edes tiedä näkyykö kuvassa kunnolla 😁) Viimeiseksi leikkasin hapsuja hieman, sillä niistä tuli niin eripituiset.

Ja tässä lopputulos! Huivista tuli yllättävän hyvä. Olen hieman järkyttynyt, että sain sen edes valmiiksi.😀 Kommentoi alle, mitä olet mieltä. Voit myös kommentoida uusia ideoita ja vinkkejä!
